Corrado Dalcò Photography
Since the 1990s, Corrado Dalcò has been making images that refuse to behave. Before they seduce, they unsettle. Working across fashion, editorial, advertising and independent practice, he continues to develop a visual language that is uncompromising, restless and constantly evolving.
Dalcò began his career in advertising, but his own artistic conviction often put him at odds with an industry too willing to trade originality for safe, market-led solutions. Rather than soften his approach, he built his studio around a more independent idea of image-making: one that values risk, instinct and a distinct point of view.
His work draws freely on fashion, performance, nineteenth-century painting, cinema, surveillance imagery, pornography, popular culture and narrative gesture. These references are never simply quoted; they are absorbed, disrupted and reworked into images that are precise, provocative and difficult to pin down. Across his practice, the body, light and space become tools for exploring desire, identity, memory and emotional tension. For Dalcò, fashion is never just clothing or surface. It is an unstable territory: a place to question the present, complicate beauty, and give form to what has not yet found its image.
